Multiplatform mobile applications in the game engine – does it make sense?

Abstract

Mobile app developers have to answer an important question at the beginning of their journey: how to reach as many users as possible with their product using Android and iOS simultaneously.

One of the less popular but very promising approaches is to use technologies from the world of electronic entertainment. Using the Unity game development engine as an example, I will answer the question whether and how to create a business application in it. Using the experience gained in creating native applications, I will describe the advantages and disadvantages of such an approach, and show how to make the final product indistinguishable from native counterparts.
