Piotr Sankowski is a president of IDEAS NCBR and a professor at the Institute of Informatics at the University of Warsaw. His research interest focuses on practical application of algorithms, ranging from economic applications, through learning data structures, to parallel algorithms for data science. He’s the first Pole to receive 3 European Research Council (ERC) grants. He’s also a member of ELLIS Society and a co-founder and CTO of the spin-off company MIM Solutions.
