Roksolana Mykhaylyk is a Senior Program Manager at Amazon Text-to-Speech Polly team. She received her Ph.D. in Philology from the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in Kyiv, Ukraine, and a Ph.D. in Linguistics from Stony Brook University in NY, USA. Dr. Mykhaylyk has taught at universities in Ukraine, the USA, and Norway, and published numerous academic papers about languages and linguistics. After many years in academia, she moved to the language technology industry, developing the first Ukrainian voice at Google and managing linguistic projects at Appen. For the last 6 years, she has been a people and program manager at Amazon Alexa and Polly teams, while also serving as a Research Associate at the Ukrainian Institute at Harvard University.
